BRB: Del inglés Be Right Back. Significa vuelvo enseguida, es muy frecuente cuando estamos chateando, de hecho es un estado del Messenger en inglés.
NSFW: Del inglés Not Suitable For Work o Not Safe For Work. Si ves esta advertencia en una noticia y estás navegando en el trabajo, estás avisado, no es apto para el trabajo. Normalmente porque la noticia conttiene imágenes o vídeo de contenido erótico o pornográfico.
TTYL: Del inglés Talk To You Later, hablamos luego, muy parecido al BRB qué veíamos antes.
EOD: Del inglés End Of Discussion. Lo solemos encontrar en los foros cuando alguién quiere dar por zanjada una cuestión. Significa punto y final, fin de la discusión.
OMG: Una expresión que aprece en multitud de ocasiones, Oh My God!, al igual que en español: ¡Oh Dios mío!
ROFL: Del inglés Rolling On Floor Laughing (también podemos encontrar ROTFL, Rolling On The Floor Laughing) esto es incluso más que el LOL, aquí te tiras por el suelo de risa.
